About Us

Leran about Elevate's Mission, Beliefs and Core Values.

Serve Everyone

We take the example Jesus gave us seriously, and look for ways to serve each other and our community, asking for nothing in return. We work with partner organisations to help accomplish this goal, some that are local and others that have impact internationally. A couple of the partners we currently work with are The Gideons, to make Bibles available in Ireland, and also ARC Ireland, which helps to plant and support Christian churches in Ireland.

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." - Mark 10:45

Equip People

Since God created the world, we figure He knows a thing or two about how to do life the right way. The Bible is full of real-life application that equips people for the daily challenges that life brings. Equipping people for life and for serving God is incredibly important to us. We see it as one of the main ways we encourage each other to live out our faith.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Connect People with God

We were designed to have a relationship with God. Unfortunately, so many things have come between us and God that we find ourselves hardly able to imagine what being connected to Him is really like. God made a way for us to get reconnected with Him through Jesus. We try to take every opportunity we can to help people connect with God through Jesus. Connecting with God changes everything. It gives us hope, renews us, and gives us new direction in how we can stay connected in our relationships!

"Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called--one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." - Ephesians 4:3-6

There is one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and each possesses all of the attributes of God. God is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe and everything in it.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is one with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is our Savior, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross for all sin, and was raised from the grave after three days to demonstrate His defeat of sin and death. He ascended into heaven and will return again to earth to reign as our powerful King.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is one with God the Father and Jesus Christ. Those who accept Christ as their Savior will receive the Holy Spirit to live inside them. The Holy Spirit serves as our comforter, guide and advocate. The Holy Spirit is given to Christians and provides guidance in living, an understanding of the Bible, and prayerfully intercedes for them.

The Bible

Our foundation is based firmly upon the Bible as our final authority on Christian beliefs and as a guide to living. The Bible is divinely inspired by God, without error, given to man so that we may know and understand the truth of God and His love.

The Church

The church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ, to obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

All people are made in the image of God and were created to live the adventure of following Jesus Christ. Although people have tremendous potential for good, we also have the freedom to do evil. Our disobedience toward God is called “sin” and that separates all humanity from God.

Man is fallen, corrupt, and wicked. Man is unable to come close to God through his own efforts nor can he understand the spiritual things of God on his own.

Salvation is not something that can be purchased or earned. It is a free gift from God provided by Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and is received through faith. It is available to everyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. That faith is expressed through repentance of sin and baptism by immersion.

People were created to exist forever. Every person will either exist eternally in union with God in heaven through following Jesus Christ or eternally separated from God in hell due to our refusal to follow Him.

In a Nut Shell

  • In Essentials - Unity
  • In Non-Essentials - Liberty
  • In All Things - Love
  • In Essentials - Unity

We must agree on the core essential things. "There is one Body and one Spirit...There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all..." (Ephesians 4:4-6)

In Non-Essentials - Liberty
In the non-essential things we show grace and let people make up their own mind, without passing judgment on disputable matters. "Who are you to judge someone else's servant?" (Romans 14:4)

In All Things - Love
“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22:36-40)

Core Values

At Elevate we use the C.H.R.I.S.T. acronym to help us define and remember our Core Values.

Commitment To Excellence

I will do my best at all times according to acceptable standards. “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” -Colossians 3:17

Heart For Evangelism

I will love lost people because God loves me. “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”-Luke 19:10

I will build a genuine relationship with God and others. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'” -Matthew 22:37-39

I will be honest in what I say and do. “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity.” -Titus 2:7

Servant Attitude

I will put the interests of others before my own. “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." -Matthew 20:28

I will respect, support and encourage my teammates. “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” -1 Thessalonians 5:11
